The Savoy is the only luxury hotel on the River Thames, perfectly placed in the heart of one of the world’s most exciting cities. Covent Garden, a luxury global and independent shopping destination, is just steps away, as are the theatres and restaurants of the West End. Other renowned London landmarks, museums and galleries, and the ultimate designer shopping destinations of Knightsbridge, Mayfair and Chelsea are a short taxi or boat ride away.

At the forefront of the luxury hotel scene for 130 years, The Savoy is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the modern traveller. The Royal Suite and Savoy Suite, both with private bars, space to entertain, and unrivalled floor to ceiling views of the river, provide a level of accommodation that meet the desire to live in the space as if living at home. All other rooms and suites celebrate The Savoy’s dual historical influence with either Edwardian or Art Deco design, and guests of suites are looked after by the Savoy Butlers, who perfectly combine the eloquent service of a traditional English butler with the more modern approach of a personal assistant.

Within The Savoy are some of the most well-known restaurants and bars in London, alongside magnificent and varied meeting space. The historic and famous Simpson’s in the Strand celebrates British classics. Gordon Ramsay’s Savoy Grill presents a British grill menu with a French touch, and Kaspar’s at The Savoy features seasonal dishes from land and sea. The award-winning American Bar is London’s longest surviving cocktail bar, and the Beaufort Bar provides a theatrical setting for Champagne and innovative cocktails. Afternoon Tea remains a tradition in the Thames Foyer, the heart of the hotel, and as day turns to night guests are welcomed for evenings of live entertainment.

Alongside these spaces, The Savoy also offers magnificent and varied meeting space. The Savoy has traditionally been one of London’s most eminent venues and is rich in history and glamour. The three imposing banqueting rooms are well known for hosting grander affairs while the six private dining rooms are ideal for more intimate gatherings. The private dining rooms are all named after Gilbert & Sullivan operas with the most historic being Pinafore. This is the room where Sir Winston Churchill founded his dining club, the Other Club, in 1911. Traditionally the serving British Prime Minister has always attended a meeting of the Other Club and their portraits still hang in this room alongside a bust of Churchill. The hotel boasts a separate River Entrance on a quiet road on the Thames side of the building that gives events a real sense of arrival. Guests are welcomed by the hotel’s experienced events team who can help plan each event down to the smallest detail.

With exceptional service at the heart of everything, a Savoy experience is built on memories created and stories told across the generations. You don’t just stay at The Savoy, The Savoy stays with you.
